Truffle Melbourne’s Red Hill Pop-Up Weekend at award winning Max's Restaurant at Red Hill Estate was a thoroughly enjoyable behind-the-scenes truffle, wine and food experience.
With clear blue skies across the weekend, attendees savoured the local Peninsula produce in the Truffle Marketplace, imbibed the award winning Red Hill Estate wines and devoured the delectable offerings from Max’s Truffle Treats Pop-Up Kitchen, all in an enormous marquee overlooking Westernport Bay.
Everyone’s favourite truffle dogs Spice and Arrow entertained young and old, while exceptional truffle chefs from Melbourne joined talented local chefs to present an engaging demonstration program, tantalising taste buds and sharing truffle tips for the home cook.
Max’s Restaurant delighted diners with an indulgent truffle brunch, and a degustation three-course lunch and five-course dinner, all matched with Red Hill Estate Wines. The half-day Truffle Trail revealed behind the scenes stories and tastes from local artisanal producers, starting with a truffle hunt at Red Hill Truffles, then on to Red Hill Cheese, Red Hill Brewery and Bass and Flinders Distillery.
