Truffle Melbourne Festival at Queen Victoria Market

Truffle Melbourne is thrilled to join forces with the City of Melbourne’s iconic Queen Victoria Market. We believe that markets are the soul of a city, and Queen Victoria Market is a thriving and diverse market place, loved by locals and a must-see for visitors too- the perfect home for our festival program.

Queen Victoria Market will host the Truffle Melbourne Festival on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June. Join us for a free weekend of festivities featuring live chef demonstrations by Melbourne's finest truffle chefs, affordable truffle tastes, artisanal produce to savour or enjoy at home, fresh truffles from across Australia, an international truffle produce range to tantalise, mock truffle dog hunts, free food photography classes and live music throughout the weekend.

MOCK TRUFFLE DOG HUNTS

Mock truffle dog hunts will take place in the Market’s A Shed throughout the weekend. Professional truffle hunting dogs and festival favourites, Spice and Arrow, along with their siblings from Brimfeldt Australian Shepherds will delight market visitors with their truffle hunting skills.

FREE FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY WALKS

Australia’s largest photographic specialists, Michaels Camera Video Digital, and Canon, will host free photography walks around the market with attendees receiving a free A3 print of an image they have shot while on the tour. A Canon DSLR camera and lens will be provided to use, or you can bring your own. 

No bookings required- visit Michaels in A Shed to register.

Frencheese

Tantalise your tastebuds with one of the most popular dishes in France- melted raclette cheese poured on to truffled potatoes with charcuterie, pickles, and salad 

St Kilda Burger Bar

Sourcing the finest grass-fed Angus beef from Gippsland, STKBB have created some seriously tasty burgers to serve alongside old favourites at the Festival. Using truffle in all its glorious guises, with a French flair and lashings of brie- fancy an Angry Pierre with a serve of truffle chips? 


That's Amore Cheese

That’s Amore Cheese offer a wide selection of treats to take home or devour on-the-spot. Savour a warming four cheese gnocchi with truffle, tossed in a Parmiggiano wheel or polenta chips with a truffle ricotta mayo, then save their ‘Secrets of the Forest’ - 80% Buffalo Milk cheese with black winter truffles, matured in wild hay for six months- for later.  


The Brûlée Cart

The seductive secret of everyone’s favourite dessert lies in the contrast between the caramelised topping and the smooth, creamy custard beneath- who doesn’t love cracking into a freshly torched truffled crème brûlée? 


Toasta

Toasta specialise in creating food that will warm your heart, with combinations of dreamy feel-good flavours. Be tempted by their truffled toasties in all their crunchy, stringy, piping hot, cheesy goodness.


Twisted Mac

Mac n' cheese cooked southern style in a big pan with a gourmet twist and made with a secret blend of Melbourne crafted cheeses, twisted up with some tasty toppings for your eating pleasure- including truffle!

Woodstock Pizzicheria
