2021 Truffle Hunts

Tickets on sale now!

Every winter, Truffle Melbourne partners with our favourite Victorian truffieres to host hunts on most weekends throughout the winter truffle season. Whether rain, hail or shine, guests rug up and pull on their gumboots to enjoy a genuine bucket list experience - joining the truffle hunter and their working truffle dogs on a stroll through the truffle patch.

We're really looking forward to having you join us on a truffle hunt this year - especially as we had to cancel our 2020 hunts due to the coronavirus pandemic. All of our 2021 hunt partner farms are located within about 100 km from the Melbourne CBD, so they're easy to get to. You can book your hunt directly with Truffle Melbourne and have confidence that in the event of a change in COVID restrictions, you'll get a full refund.

Truffle Hunt Locations

The Truffle Paddock is Truffle Melbourne founder Nigel Wood's truffiere in Grantville. Surrounded by indigenous trees, native birds and wildlife, hunt for black and white truffles with Melbourne's favourite truffle hunting dogs 'Spice' and 'Arrow' as your guide.

Enjoy a truffle hunt at Gembrook Truffles with truffle dog 'Willow' before retiring to the 'Truffle Den' for a truffled morning or afternoon tea on this family-run farm in the Yarra Valley, just 60 minutes drive from Melbourne.

Central Victoria's Truffle Treasures have been hosting events since 2010, bringing people and truffles together to experience the sight, texture, aroma and taste of earth's 'black gold' with clever canines Abbie and Holly.

Visit Red Hill Truffles on the Mornington Peninsula and be charmed by Jenny and her super sniffer truffle dog Thomas as they lead you through the oak and hazelnut trees. With more than twenty hunts and events throughout the season, you'll have plenty of opportunities to taste, smell, photograph, purchase and even devour freshly harvested truffle.
